What is bail for a violent crime?
The amount of bail for a violent crime is based on the same factors that the judge uses to determine whether bail is acceptable. A first-degree felony will have a significant bail problem due to the seriousness of the crimes. This may include attempted murder, sexual assault, aggravated robbery, or setting fire to a residential building resulting in death. The amount of the bond can range from $5,000 to $100,000.
