    SHERIFF’S OFFICE: CID Lieutenant

    Oversees daily operations of the CID; Including case assignment to investigators, assistance with staff training; assists in the investigation and questioning process for criminal investigation officers; helps in the timely submission of criminal cases to the prosecutor’s office. This position also serves as supervisor for the CID, Sheriff’s Office Academy, Property Room and Quartermaster. EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED; EXPERIENCE: A valid Advanced Peace Officer certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE). Qualifications: Five (5) years of law enforcement experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides proficiency. A physical assessment is required, consisting of: a kilometer run in less than 12:30 minutes, 20 push-ups in 1 minute, 20 sit-ups in 1 minute.
