Where is Clark County jail from 60 days in?

Table of Content

60 Days In is a new part reality show, part documentary television series about A&E. If you’ve ever wondered what prison is like without ever being in one, you might want to check out this show. Seven noncriminal participants are sentenced to 60 days in the Clark County Jail in Jeffersonville, Indiana, as part of a sheriff’s program to expose prison corruption. Each of the seven individuals are given a cover story, an education, and a crime they committed to share with the inmates why they are there. Only the sheriff and a detective know they really are innocent. The other inmates and officers do not know the true truth.

Clark County inmates live in groups called modules, rather than in individual cells. The groups are overcrowded and violent, and there is high levels of drug activity.

    The Latest Fake

Prison guards and inmates were told that a series was being filmed about the experiences of first-time inmates and left out that seven new residents of the county jail were fake inmates.

An “inmate” in the first season was a social worker who harbored a grudge against gang violence. Another was a former Marine who felt the experience would help him in his quest to join the DEA. Another was an educator who wanted to share first-hand experience with students about poor choices. A fourth mock inmate was a young man who wanted to see what his brother, who was rightfully incarcerated, was going through in prison.

60 days on location for season 6

The main excitement that comes with each season of the show is which prison we’ll see next. Viewers who have followed this series for a long time have noticed that each prison has its own characteristics and comes with different levels of danger. In Season 6 of the series, a police officer, law enforcement officer, ex-Marine, operations manager, political science college student, problem youth teacher, and businessman enter the detention center of the Etowah County Jail. Only two reportedly survived the full 60 days in prison.

The Etowah County Detention Center is located in the city of Gadsden, Alabama. Mostly crowded with refugees, this is a place where people probably carried out criminal activities inside the prison to survive. In Season 6 of this series, viewers not only witness the problems plaguing the prison, but also learn about the prisoners’ living conditions. Packed with danger, we follow seven undercover agents as they try to survive the most challenging 60 days of their lives.
