What is grand robbery?
Aggravated robbery is a robbery committed in the presence of one or more accomplices. An accomplice is someone who is present when the crime is committed and knowingly participates. For example, if someone threatens an alleged victim with violence while another steals her purse, Arizona law considers it aggravated robbery. Unlike armed robbery, aggravated robbery does not require the perpetrator to use a dangerous weapon.
